Vada Chennai has been a long time talking in Kollywood as two National award winners Dhanush and Vetrimaaran uniting to make this magnum opus, the anticipations became much stronger. Now Vada Chennai team has announced that they have wrapped up their shoot. All these, while the entire team maintained a low profile about the movie and no information came about the movie except for the movie's story, will be based on North Madras. This was also learned from the movie's title, if not we couldn't have couldn't have guessed this too. The story focuses on 35 years of a particular group set against the backdrops of north Chennai. It is also mentioned that Vada Chennai is not a movie about gangsters. The film is jointly produced by Dhanush under the Wunderbar Films in collaboration with Lyca productions. Meanwhile, Dhanush is simultaneously shooting for his other movie Maari 2, which is proceeding at a brisk pace. Earlier we reported that Vetri Maaran has confirmed that the first part of Vada Chennai shoot has been wrapped up, now it is believed that Vetri Maaran's dream project will be releasing for this Ramzan. But it is yet to be confirmed officially.
