Over the years, Tamil cinema has been witnessing the arrival of many journalists as filmmakers. The latest one to join the league is filmmaker Mu. Maran who is making his directorial debut with the film ‘Iravukku Aayiram Kangal’ featuring Arulnithi and Mahima Nambiar in lead roles.. Ask him about what’s the significance of this title with the film’s premise. He says, “Mystery and Night are always inseparable. Many mishaps and evil things happen by night as many believe that none would notice them. But the fact is that someone or something watches them and it’s unavoidable and it will be brought under light by any means. In this film, the protagonist gets dumped into a serious issue and how he overcomes it is the basic premise of this story. I happened to listen to the song ‘Iravukku Aayiram Kangal’ coincidentally and felt that it would be an appropriate title. The story begins by the night time and will end by the next day evening laced with flashback sequences.”
