Vinnai thaandi Varuvaaya has been a unforgettable romantic love story and many could relate to the movie. ANd STR and Trisha performance in VTV is one astonishing thing in the movie. It is still regarded as the most adorable performance from Simbu's kitty. Before couple of days, there was a report claiming that STR would be seen reprising the role in ‘Ondraga’, a multi-starrer film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon featuring the biggest names of South India. Nevertheless, there seems to be a little change and some surprises involved here in this project. The film seems to have been renamed as Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa 2.0, which will have Madhavan reprising the extended role of Karthik.

It was earlier mentioned that the story happens 8 years exactly after the climax of VTV, where Karthik joins his friends for a road trip. This film will also feature Puneeth Rajkumar, Tovino Thomas and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Madhavan confirmed the news about being a part of this film on his Twitter page, but hasn’t divulged anything involving his role.

Gautham Vasudev Menon (born 25 February 1973), more commonly known as Gautham Menon, is an Indian film director and producer, who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Many of his films have been critically acclaimed, most notably his semi-autobiographical films Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) and his action-thrillers Kaakha Kaakha (2003) and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). Vaaranam Aayiram won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Gautham Menon spearheaded releasing movies of same content in different languages, simultaneously. He produces films through his London Stock Exchange-listed Photon Kathaas film production company and his film "Thanga Meengal" won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
