Actor Dhanush’s yesteryear release Maari was super hit. Earlier in the month of August Dhanush and Balaji Mohan confirmed that the sequel of the movie will be made. Dhanush is currently shooting Vada Chennai, directed by Vetrimaaran and Enai Nokki Payum Thotta. He would be soon starting to work on Maari 2, which happens to be the sequel of first part released before 2 years. Balaji Mohan had made an affirmation that the second part will be begin from the end of first part. Earlier in the month of September, it was confirmed that Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas and Sai Pallavi will be playing important roles in Maari 2. Balaji Mohan has made an affirmation that Maari 2 will be separately shot in Tamil and Telugu. Later by the month of december the team confirmed that the music for Maari 2 will be scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It has been almost ten year since Dhanush and Yuvan Shankar Raja worked together. Kadhal Konden is still an unforgettable album by them and this has created a lot of expectation and high hopes about the movie. Today, Dhanush has tweeted on his micro-blogging page saying that the shooting commences today. It looks like the shooting will be completed by end of March. It is also reported that Dhanush will start working on Sri Thenandal Films’ project from April 2018. Balaji Mohan who directed the first part is wielding megaphone for this movie.
