According to the latest reports, STR has signed Maniratnam’s next, which is a multi-starrer film. The movie also features Vijay Sethupathi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jyotika, Fahadh Faasil and Nani in lead roles alongside Arvind Swamy as well. We have learnt that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a cop role in the movie. We have already seen Vijay Sethupathi as a cop in Sethupathi. We hope there are lot more exciting news about Mani Ratnam's next flick.   

Naturally, a Maniratnam film without AR Rahman is something hypothetical and he will cross 25th year with the maverick filmmaker with this project. It is confirmed that Santhosh Sivan will be handling the cinematography.

Shooting of this film will be commencing by January 2018 and release is scheduled for September tentatively.

Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi known as Vijay Sethupathi is an Indian film actor, who appears in Tamil films. Following a stint as an accountant, he begun considering an acting career. He was working as a background actor, playing minor supporting roles for over five years,before playing his first lead role in Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010).He went on to star in Sundarapandian (2012), Pizza (2012), Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012), Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (2013), which earned critical & commercial success, turned Vijay Sethupathi into a popular name in Tamil cinema.
