Saamy directed by Hari starring Vikram and Trisha was a huge success. Earlier it was said that Hari is going to direct Saamy sequel using the same cast with few changes like Prabhu and Soori. And additionally Keerthy Suresh was also included for lead female role. Chiyaan Vikram’s ‘Saamy’ that was released in 2002 happens to be the evergreen blockbuster hit in his career. Nearly after 16 years, the same duo Vikram-Hari is coming together for the film’s sequel titled ‘Saamy Square’. The film features Keerthy Suresh and Trisha in lead roles with Bobby Simha as the antagonist. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this film. Recently, a picture involving a poster clicked at shooting spot of Saamy Square has created a high level curiosity claiming whether Chiyaan Vikram is playing dual roles. The poster reads the 29th death anniversary of Perumal Pichai (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and the names and photos of his sons including ‘Bobby Simha’ has been shown as well. Now it should be either Vikram spotted as a middle aged cop or it should be Vikram son becoming a cop. It could be this way that sons of Aaruchaamy and Perumal Pichai are involved in the combat now. So many stories around Saamy square have been speculated but the answer will only be revealed when the movie is released. At the present moment, around 50% of the shooting is already completed and the entire project is expected to wrap up by end of March or middle of April. The film’s teaser is expected to be launched somewhere by end of April. During this interim, it is learnt through the close sources that producer Shibu Thameems is planning to release the movie on June 14 for the occasion of Ramzan.
