Atharvaa’s Kanithan was directed by TN Santhosh and it was produced by Kalai Puli S Thanu. Catherine Tresa was featured opposite to Atharvaa and Karunakaran made his appearance as a comedian int the movie. Kanithan was released last year which was a success and now, Telugu film industry’s young promising actor Nikhil Siddarth will be seen playing the lead role in remake of ‘Kanithan’. Telugu remake will be directed by the same filmmaker Santhosh, who was one of the associate directors of AR Murugadoss. Initially, Santhosh had approached Ravi Teja to play the lead role and things didn’t work out due to some reasons. The shooting of this film with Nikhil in lead role will start happening from January 2018. Santhosh is now approaching leading heroines to play the female lead and some changes have been made to the regional tastes.
