Mersal became the hot topic of the Nation after it was released. Many BJP leaders alleged that Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s dialogues are misleading and false. This enraging behavior of BJP became the debate in public forum. In fact, the issue has taken its stretch beyond the boundaries of Tamil cinema and even the country’s reigning politicians have made their stand against unethical gesture. Many have supported Mersal for the message it has conveyed. Finally, Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have made their gestures exhibited in a much unconventional manner. Usually, Rajinikanth will be penning phrases of letter appreciating a film. This time, he just tweeted with short words, but more powerful that read, “Important topic addressed. Well done! Congratulations team #Mersal” (Sic). On his part, Kamal Haasan watched the special screening of Mersal along with Vijay, Atlee, producers Murali Ramasamy and Hema Rukmani and cinematographer Vishnu and appreciated the movie.
