Kamal backs Mersal – ‘Don’t silence critics’

Mersal movie has become a nation wide debate now, the dialogues about GST and demonitaisation has offended the current ruling party. Tamil Nadu BJP is now demanding to delete the scenes that criticize the current government and their plans as there are factual errors in the dialogue. But, from various groups, political parties, Vijay fans, Ajith fans, cinema lovers and movie critics’ support has been gathered for Vijay’s Mersal. Yesterday at a press meet Pa. Ranjith who is now directing Rajinikanth’s Kaala said that, Mersal has voiced peoples discontent and disappointment on the government, the scenes should not be deleted. GV Prakash has also extended his support to Mersal. On the other hand H Raja national seceratary of BJP has condemned the dialogues saying that actor Vijay has intentions to defame his party and their schemes, he also added that members in CBFC should resign or replaced. The producer of Mersal Thenandal Studios Limited, Murali has been in peace talks with BJP leaders since yesterday and it is said that he has accepted to delete the scenes from Mersal. This controversy has agitated many on both the sides, looking keen in to this Kamal Hassan has tweeted that, ‘Mersal was certified. Don’t re-censor it. Counter criticism with logical response. Don’t silence critics. India will shine when it speaks.’ This tweet is going viral on the internet and a huge support has gathered for Vijay’s Mersal.
