Two months back it was announced that Udhayanidhi Stalin will be starring in Priyadarshan's next film and first shooting schedule happened in Thenkasi for past 36 days. For the next schedule the movie team is ready to fly to Dubai. In the meanwhile, Priyadharshan has officially announced the titled of the film. The ace director Mahendran who is playing an important role in the movie has suggested the title of the film to Priyadharsan as Nimir and the movie is now titled Nimir. This movie is the remake of Malayalam Movie Maheshinte Pirathikaara which was written by Syam Pushkaran and directed by Dileesh Pothan in Malayalam. Udhayanidhi starring in the male lead role, Namitha Pramod and Parvathy Nair are playing as female lead in the movie. Samuthirakani is also playing an important role in the movie and he has also penned dialogues for the movie. Nimir is produced by Moonlight Entertainment.
