After Iraivi, Karthik Subburaj announced that he is going to work with Dhanush and he said he is into scripting the story for Dhanush. But it was all announcements we could know how it progressed and Dhanush was also busy with Vada Chennai, Enai Nokki Paayum thotta and Velai illa pattadhari – 2. Karthik Subburaj also started his other project ‘Merkuri’ with Prabhu Deva. When Karthik Subburaj was asked about the movie with Dhanush he said that, the movie he planned with Dhanush would take a long time to finish and the story will be happening in the USA. So Karthik Subburaj wants Dhanush to finish all of his projects. As this story is a Gangster story the shooting will commence on 2018.
