After watching Thani Oruvan Sivakarthikeyan has expressed is willingness to act in Mohan Raja film, as he wished Mohan Raja came up with Velaikkaran script and the movie is ready to release. It was expected that the movie will be out for Vinayagar Chathurthi but unfortunately it was postponed to Ayudha Pooja. Recently, 24AM Studios, officially announced that as they have little works to be completed in the movie they postponed Velaikkaran release date to December 22nd targeting the Christmas holidays. So it is sure we can expect the movie in December, since the movie is said to convey a message to the society the story happens in a slum. So to recreate the slum as sets Director Mohan Raja brought down 10 trucks of trash to the set and have recreated the slum exactly the same.
