Velaikkaran directed by Mohan Raja staring Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil and Charlie is produced by 24AM Studios RD Raja. Velaikkaran was expected on Vinayagar Chaturthi but unfortunately due to unavoidable delay in the shooting of the movie the release date was postponed to Ayudha Pooja, September 29th. The Velaikkaran team targeted the holidays but now, again delay in the post production is pushing the movie to the end of this year. Velaikkaran team has officially announced that the movie will be released on 22nd of December targeting the Christmas holidays. 24AM Studios official press release says “We sincerely apologize to each and every one of you for this delay. We think it is our duty to explain to you the reasons for the delay and hence this is an open letter. This being a big budget film we are waiting for the next festival period for release. With a few big releases already scheduled for this Diwali in October and with no big festival in November we have no choice but wait till December. So based on the ‘distridutors and exhibitors’ request, we plan to release the film on 22nd December 2017, during Christmas holidays. Our sincere apologies again to all the fans and audiences for making you wait longer, but we are sure we will compensate by assuring you one of the best entertainers of the year. Seeking your massive support always.”
