Initially, it was said that Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran and Mahesh Babu’s Spyder will be releasing together on this Vijayadashami festival. But till now, 24AM studios have not confirmed anything officially about Velaikkaran release. But, lots of releases have been scheduled for the festive occasion of Dussera. Sema starring GV Prakash and Hara Hara Mahadevaki starring Gautham Karthik-Nikki Galrani starrer are scheduled on this Dussera festive season. The latest is news that Sri Sai Ram Creations has confirmed Vijay Sethupathi starrer Karuppan for the same festive occasion. The film’s songs and teaser have already become a big sensation. The songs composed by D Imman are climbing to the top in the charts and teaser gives an impression of full-fledged commercial entertainer for family audiences. The film is directed by Renigunta fame Panneer Selvam with Tanya Ravichandran, Pasupathy, Bobby Simha and few other prominent actors in important roles.
