This birthday has greatly be a means of special moment for Vishnu Vishal as lots of promotional tools pertaining to his upcoming projects like – Raatchasan, Pon Ondru Kandein and Katha Nayagan were unveiled. ‘Pon odru kanden’ is directed by Senthil Veerasamy is produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Tamannaah is pairing with him in the movie.

Among all these projects, one thing that keeps everyone in the Tamil speaking territory awaited is ‘Pon Ondru Kandein’, which happens to be the pure remake of super hit Telugu movie ‘Pelli Choopulu’. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Tamannaah as urban guy and girl, whose lives take a turn after an ordinary matchmaking meet arranged by their families. The shooting of this film will be commencing by the month of August and release is expected by earliest at Jan 2018. The film is directed by Senthil Veerasamy, director of Rajathanthiram 2 and has musical score by Darbuka Siva.

Gautham Vasudev Menon (born 25 February 1973), more commonly known as Gautham Menon, is an Indian film director and producer, who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Many of his films have been critically acclaimed, most notably his semi-autobiographical films Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) and his action-thrillers Kaakha Kaakha (2003) and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). Vaaranam Aayiram won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. Gautham Menon spearheaded releasing movies of same content in different languages, simultaneously. He produces films through his London Stock Exchange-listed Photon Kathaas film production company and his film "Thanga Meengal" won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
