India’s costliest film ‘Sangamithra’ was launched in Cannes Film Festival yesterday. The pre- production works are going on for the film which will be directed by Sundar C and stars Jayam Ravi, Arya and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. This film will be a duology and Shruti Haasan plays a warrior princess in this film and she was trained in martial arts and sword fighting for her role. Jayam Ravi also learnt horse riding for his role in the film and Arya has a crucial character in this periodic flick along with Jayam Ravi. The duology will commence by the end of this year and the makers have planned to release the film in 2018 or during early months of 2019. Thenandal Studios Limited are producing this film and A R Rahman will be composing music. Award winning cinematographer Tirru will be handling cinematography for this flick.
