Samantha was roped in to play a crucial role in the Tamil – Telugu remake of Kannada hit film ‘U – Turn’ which will be directed by Pawan Kumar. Shraddha Srinath, who was last seen in director Mani Rathnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ is also part of this flick. After many discussions, Nithya Menen has been roped in to play a role in the remake replacing Samantha. The actress has been busy with other commitments professionally and personally which made her to opt out of this film.
