Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha will be teaming up for the first time for’96 directed by Cinematographer Prem Kumar. This film will mark the directorial debut for this well-known cinematographer who has worked in films including, ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’, ‘Sundarapandian’, ‘Pasanga’ and ‘Yeidhavan’. The film’s shooting was supposed to go on floors in Kumbakonam, but the shooting is delayed as the makers are searching for child artistes to depict Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in a younger version. ’96 is produced by S Nandagopal under his banner ‘Madras Enterprises’ and Govind Menon will be composing music for this flick.
