Actor Dhanush has made his directorial debut with ‘Power Paandi’ starring Raj Kiran in lead role. Revathi, Chaaya Singh, Prasanna & Sendrayan are in crucial roles in the film. The much awaited trailer of the film was launched yesterday and the press meet took place in Chennai. The excerpts from the meet as follows: Director of the film, Dhanush’s speech was full of positivity. He told that the life is surrounded by all negative elements and it depends on a person to choose the positive elements to make our life better. He quoted ace director Balu Mahendra’s quote, “A film will attract all the elements which is essential for its success. Some films are unsuccessful when it fails to take in the positive elements.” Dhanush also told that similarly the same situation happened for ‘Power Paandi’ when Raj Kiran signed up for this film. He also appreciated music composer Sean Roldan for his excellent compositions in ‘Power Paandi’. Dhanush is confident that the music will remain the soul for the film’s success. Actor Raj Kiran, the hero of the film told that he was happy to be a part of this film. He shared his nostalgic moment while, Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja introduced him as hero 25 years ago & now Dhanush has directed his comeback film as hero in ‘Power Paandi’. Raj Kiran thanked Dhanush and the crew for his complete changeover of looks for the film and he told that audience will witness different Raj Kiran in this movie. Actor Prasanna shared that he was quite hesitant to work in this film when Dhanush called him for a role in ‘Power Paandi’. He realized his opinion later when he observed Dhanush’s dedication and effort for this film.
