Director Bramma is happy with the outcome of Jyothika starrer ‘Magalir Mattum’. He shares his experience and the excerpts are as follows: Director Bramma saya that Magalir Mattum will be an emotional film which the audience will enjoy watching each and every frame in the film. He tells his experience that how Jyothika accepted to be a lead in ‘Magalir Mattum’. Bramma has told the script to both Jyothika and Surya. Looks like the director became confident when Jyothika was so much involved while listening to the script. Surya gave a nod after liking the script and he has offered to produce the film under his banner ‘2D Entertainments’. Actor Surya helped the director in talking with Kamal Kaasan regarding the title as the former had previously directed Women Centric film titled ‘Magalir Mattum’ in the year 1994. Kamal Haasan gave permission to have the same title for Jyothika starrer. Interestingly Jyothika along with Urvasi had participated in a workshop to understand the essence of her character in the film. The team waited for actress Banupriya to join the cast along with Saranya Ponvannan, Nassar, Urvashi and Jyothika. There’s a scene in the film in which Jyothika drives a bullet. This scene was actually taken in Agra road. Interestingly Jyothika will be driving one more vehicle in the film other than bullet!! Director Bramma thanks actor Surya for his continuous support throughout the shoot and also says that the shooting spot looked moreover like a picnic by having fun along with the legendary actors. He also praises and feels happy for working with Cinematographer S Manikandan and Music director Ghibran for their amazing work in the film. Bramma praises Jyothika for being on time in the sets and this is the second time Jyothika has dubbed for herself in this film after ‘Mayavi’. He is also amazed with her perfect dialogue delivery. Director spills beans that this film is based on a true story. A single from the film was released as a treat for Women’s Day. The release date will be announced soon officially.
