Women nowadays are biggest competitive opponent in every industry. Women face lots of hurdles to reach their goals. Consider education, Girls score better marks in most of the competitive examinations. When seen from outside, people recognize the success but they don’t know the pain a woman has gone through to achieve it. One such film which portrays women’s education in ‘Ilai’ ‘Ilai’ (leaf) is an upcoming Tamil film, which stresses the importance of girls’ education in a family. This film is directed by debutant Binish Raj and produced by ‘Leaf Productions International’. Swathy Narayanan who has acted in many Malayalam films is making her debut in Tamil with this film. The movie plot takes place in the year 1991 in a village where girls are not allowed to pursue their education. The heroine who is inspired to pursue her education faces lots of hurdles to study. Her father is supportive to achieve her dreams while heroine’s mother wants her to get married. The rest of the story portrays whether the heroine is able to pursue her education and achieve her dreams. The director is confident about the movie plot and he is also positive that this film has characteristics of a commercial entertainer. Music for the film is composed by debutant Vishnu V Divakaran and Santhosh Anjal has handled the cinematography.
