‘Maanagaram’ is the debut directorial for the director Lokesh Kanagaraj. This film has Sundeep Kishan, Shree and Regina Cassandra in lead roles. Charle and Ramdoss play crucial roles in this film. ‘Maanagaram’ is all set to release on March 10th. The film is directed by S R Prabhu under his banner ‘Potential Studios’ Press meet of the film happened in Chennai today and the excerpts from the press meet are as follows: Sundeep Kishan, has acted in couple of Tamil movies has his primary work in Telugu. He is one of the leading actors in the film ‘Maanagaram’. When most of them told that Sundeep has made a comeback in Tamil films, he denied saying that he is a absolute Chennai guy living in Kodambakkam with his family and also conveyed that he works in Telugu for his survival. Sundeep is choosy and careful in selecting scripts for his Tamil films and he has ‘Mayavan’ directed by Nalan Kumarasamy waiting to be released. Talking about ‘Maanagaram’, Sundeep said that it will be a film which showcases the pride of Chennai and continues that the audience will also feel the same after watching the film. He praised producer S R Prabhu for producing this film. Look like Sundeep promised director Lokesh to produce this film after listening to the script and he later realized his difficult situation to produce the film and it was then S R Prabhu came up to produce this film, under his banner ‘Potential Studios’, concluded Sundeep with gratitude. Sri, introduced as a TV star won several awards in his debut film ‘Vazhakku en 18/9’ directed by Balaji Sakthivel and later he won critical reviews for his performance in ‘Onaayum Aatukkuttiyum’ directed by Mysskin. He plays another lead in ‘Maanagaram’. While talking about the film, he thanked the media for their continuous support in all his films and wishes the same for this film. Before concluding, to maintain the thrill of the film, Sri requests the audience not to reveal any kind of information from the film after they watch it once it hits the theaters. S R Prabhu, the producer of the film requests the continuous support from media and the audience to support this film and he requested audience to watch it in theaters and avoid piracy. He concluded saying that, waiting for the response of the film is completely different as he is looking forward to witness audience’s reaction about the film. Director of the film, Lokesh told that, he had been receiving good responses from everyone who have watched the preview of the film.
