Internet went crazy when actor Arvind Swami revealed the first look of Padaiveeran in his official twitter page. The film is directed by debutant Dhanashekar who was the former assistant director of Mani Rathnam. Singer Vijay Yesudas, last seen as a cop in the film ‘Maari’ is playing a lead role in this film. Ace director Bharathiraja will portray the lead antagonist in this film. Akhil of ‘Kalloori fame has a crucial role in this film; Arpitha is roped in to play the female lead. The major portions of the film are shot in and around Theni. Karthik Raja has composed music for the film and the Cinematography is handled by Rajavel Mohan. This film is produced by Madhivanan.
