Tamil film industry welcomes the talented artistes from different city, states and country with open heart. We also have many actors and actresses coming from different regions and becoming successful in Tamil industry. Likewise Sabby Jey, an international model who participated in Miss Universe competition was born in New Zealand and lives in Australia. She is also seen in many international music videos. Now this model wants to act in Tamil movies. The excerpts from her conversation are as follows: Sabby Jey is a tamilian; her parents are from Sri Lanka who later settled in New Zealand. She completed her bachelor’s degree in commerce in Australia and started her modeling career. After being a part of many international music videos, she went on to learn Bhangra and became a member of ‘Thar Bhangra’ dance group. Sabby Jey started modeling in promotional shows which led her to participate in the ‘Miss Universe’ competition. Sabby Jey went on till semi-finals of ‘Miss Universe’ competition in 2015, who was actually inspired from the Indians Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta who were cast as heroine in the films later on. She was offered for modeling from many companies after looking into her profiles. Sabi later acted in J D Jerry’s advertisement, who gets film opportunities through his advertisements When quizzed about the eagerness in doing a Tamil film she replied that being a tamilian brought up in foreign country her love for Tamil and tamilians has never reduced. She is fan of Vijay and has also met him in person during ‘Bhairava’ film shooting. His simplicity made her a huge fan of Vijay. She has also met Vijay Sethupathi during shooting of ‘Rekka’ and got the opportunity to act in Tamil films after the film’s cameraman Dinesh noticed and recommended her for his next film. She will be acting in the film titled ‘Kaadhal Nagaram’ and she also be seen in ‘Street Fighter’, a Tamil tele-film. Sabby Jey reached India before 3 months with her own savings against her parent’s wish, who don’t like her acting in films, yet they support for their daughter’s aspiration. Sabby is a big fan of Rajinikanth, Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Ramya Krishnan and Keerthi Suresh for their splendid acting and she loves all kinds of genres.
