This film is based on the life of a woman who is a background dancer for films, written and directed by Gayathri Raguram. This is the story which has to unveil the emotional and miseries they go through behind the screens of the films. This story stresses the importance of unheard whimper of these artists. This film will be the first in Indian cinema to reflect the dreams and aspiration a dancer woman has buried within herself. The producer of the film is actor Dhanush’s Wunderbar studios. The music for the film is composed by Ashwin Vinayagam and the background score by Achu Rajamani. The plot involves a young girl named Thamarai, who gets pushed into the world of cinema instead of pursuing her studies, due to her family situations.She travels into the cinema world with dreams and ambition just like a normal young girl who would possess. But fate has different plans for her; she ends up in misery, abuse and agonizing pain in her life. The rest of the story involves Thamarai meeting new people and knowing their experiences in her 20 years of her life as a dancer. ‘Yaadhumaagi Nindraai’ on the whole is the story of a young woman who never lost hope.
