The film ‘9 Grahangalum Uchham Pettravan’ goes on floors The film ‘9 Grahangalum Uchham Pettravan’ directed by ‘Kaadhal’ Sugumaran with the blessings of ‘Madurai ‘R Rathnavelpandian and ‘Kovai’ K Kanagaraj went on floors with a pooja in Coimbatore. The event was graced by the cinema fraternities along with important dignitaries like from Coimbatore. This is the 3rd movie for Sugumaran in direction who was introduced as a comedian in the movie ‘Kaadhal’. The cast includes Abisaravanan of ‘Pattadhari’ fame, Vishnu Priyan and ‘Kaadhal’ Sugumaran as the leads while Kanniga Ravi, Shruthi, Harshatha are roped in to play female leads. Thambi Ramaiah, M S Bhaskar, Soundarrajan, ’Kovai’ Vishnu, Rama, Saravanan Subbiah, Ashok Pandian, David Solomon, Sathya, Mano, and Harshan are in crucial roles in the film. The music composer for the film is Varshan who also was the composer for the film ‘Poramboku’. Action by ‘Mirattal’ Selva, Sathish takes care of Cinematography while Jinson Lonappan handles the camera. The film is jointly produced by Sai Saravanan of K.U Devar films of Kaadhal studios and Vijay Anand of Parambariyam movies. The movie plot revolves around a graduate hero who faces many hurdles in life and tries to solve all the problems. The incidents which follow in sequence starts from Kerala and ends in Coimbatore in 7 days is the gist of the story. The director tells that the movie title is inspired from the famous dialogue by comedian Charlie saying,”9 grahangalum Uchham pettravan” from the movie ‘Unnai Ninaithu’ starring Surya as the lead.
