Hari Condemns Piracy, Seek youths help. Director Hari is all set to release his movie Singam 3 on February 09 2017 starring Surya, Anushka Shetty and Shruthi Haasan in lead roles. Hari recorded a statement ahead of the release of the movie to voice out his opinion against piracy. Excerpts from his statement are as follows. Hari requested the youths to extend their support to fight against the piracy who have already proved their strength through the earlier protests for a good cause. He also particularly told that only a set of youths are watching the new movies through pirated DVDs or through pirated websites which destroys the career of an artist which leads to an eventual step to leave their career in cinema. When there is a comparison between the artists who flourished and left the career in industry, the number of people who failed as artists have left the industry. He added that the producer is able to accumulate his investments only when the audiences watch the movie in theaters. The audiences have the authority to review the movie by only after watching the movie in theaters and not through any other medium. He also pointed out to a particular website which streams new movies on or after the release date and questioned whether they are holding any grudge against any actor or producer because if they respect the producers, who creates opportunities for thousands of artists, the website team won’t be practicing these irrelevant practices to destroy a producer which in turn destroys the lives of the artists. Cinema is an entertainment industry which is not associated with politics. No one gets 100% success or credit which is on the brink of tough situations. Hari requests youths to tweet against piracy online. Cinema is the only industry which doesn’t receive any notice from the labor associations for making the labors work for 18 to 21 hours who work for the entertainment of the audiences. Hari questioned that when they don’t want to spoil their family member’s business, why do they rejoice in destroying other’s business. He said that only through realization this piracy can be avoided and wants to create a new society against piracy. He concluded by requesting the youths not to spoil the reputation which the Tamil youths hold after creating a history in the society.
