Pa.Ranjith’s directorial venture “Kabali” is a Gangster-drama film starring Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte as the leads has completed 200 days. The movie cast includes Dhansika, Nasser, John Vijay, Dinesh, Riythvika, Kishore and Kalaiyarasan in pivotal roles. Winston Chao plays the antagonist in the movie. The movie received mixed reviews and yet it became a box-office hit. The movie plot involves a gang war in Malaysia between Kabaleeswaran aka Kabali (Rajinikanth) and Tony lee (Winston Chao) where Kabali is falsely accused of charges for starting a local temple massacre. His wife gets killed in that incident. Kabali is released from the prison after 25 years and finds out that his wife is not dead and also is also surprised to know that he has a daughter with the help of his well-wishers. The rest of the story revolves whether Kabali defeats Tony lee and lives a peaceful life with his family or not. The music for the movie is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and produced by ‘V Creations’ Kalaipuli S.Thanu. ‘Kabali’ had the biggest opening day worldwide for a South Indian film by surpassing the movie ‘Bahubali : The beginning’ .It also surpassed the movie ‘Sultan’ by setting a record for highest opening weekend for an Indian film. The film earned around 3.5 million rupees in 10 days of theatrical run worldwide. Kalaipuli S. Thanu celebrated this milestone in his twitter page and tweeted “Inba Naal, Iniya Naal! Anaivarukum Nandri :)”. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Kabali!.
