Veteran actor Ravichandran’s granddaughter Tanya made her sizzling acting debut to Kollywood with Sasikumar in his latest release Balle Vellaiyathevaa. Post her flawless performance on screen, the lady has been approached by several filmmakers for signing her in their projects. The recent news we hear is that she has replaced Lakshmi Menon in Vijay Sethupathi’s Karuppan. Earlier the Rekka actress was supposed to pair with Vijay Sethupathi for the second time but unfortunately she has opted out of the venture. Few reports are rounding that she has met with a minor accident and needs to take rest for few days. The shooting for this flick has already commenced from January 11 at Theni and the team demanded an immediate replacement with Tanya. Before Lakshmi, several other names like Keerthy Suresh, Ritika Singh and Manjima Mohan were rumoured. Directed by Panneerselvam of Renigunta fame, the National Award winning actor Bobby Simha is said to play the baddie in Karuppan. Touted to be a romantic action entertainer, D.Imman has been roped in to compose the music.
