Actor Atharvaa who is longing to get a good recognition in Kollywood cine industry has signed his next ‘Othaikku Oththa’ with debut director Barnesh. The latter is known to have worked previously as an assistant with the notable filmmaker Pa.Ranjith in Attakathi, Madras and is making his directorial debut with Atharvaa. The script is reported to have two leading ladies and the team has signed Vidya Pradeep as one of the love interest for Atharvaa. Vidya played in several supporting roles in movies like Aval Peyar Tamilarasi, Saivam, Pasanga 2 and the latest one was Achamindri. This flick could be her first film as a leading lady. Touted to be an action entertainer set in a college campus, the pair will be seen as college students where Vidya hails from a small town Christian girl. The Eetti actor is working out hard to build up a charming physique. The makers are looking for another leading lady while the other members of the cast includes Thiagarajan featured as a don and Narain playing Atharvaa’s uncle. The shooting has already commenced from Dec 23 at Salem and progressing at a brisk pace to be wrapped up by February. Bankrolled by Dinesh Karthik of Vision I Media, the movie is all about friendship, area politics, anger and romance set in three years of college life between 2003 and 2005.
