The 2015 Malayalam family drama Bhaskar The Rascal is on cards to be remade in Tamil for quite some time. The original version had Mammootty and Nayanthara in the leading roles and a similar strong cast is likely to be roped in for its remake too. Arvind Swami was reported to reprise Mammootty as the male lead and we hear that a popular actress has been approached for playing the leading lady. It's none other than the Force 2 actress, Sonakshi Sinha who is likely to bag the role. She has already made her debut to Kollywood with Superstar in Lingaa in 2014. If she has given her nod to this project, this would be her second venture in Tamil. To be directed by Siddique who helmed the Malayalam version, this flick will be produced by Murugan who has bought the Tamil remake rights. Arvind Swami will play a business tycoon and a single parent in this flick. The shooting will kickstart from next year once the female lead is officially on board. The actor is busy post his character in Thani Oruvan with Sathuranga Vettai 2 in which he will pair with Trisha and another untitled film with director Selva.
