Samuthirakani who basked the success of Appa earlier this year has started working for his next titled as Thondan. The shooting has already commenced from December 17 and we hear that this flick is set to revolve around the life of 4 central characters. One of which is played by Samuthirakani himself as an ambulance driver. The other two are recently confirmed as actor Vikranth as an ambulance attendant and Sunaina in a pivotal role. Sunaina who was last seen in Jiiva's Kavalai Vendam has already shared her screen space with Samuthirakani in Neerparavai. She is expected to join the shooting from December 23. As for Vikranth, it is said to be a performance-based role ever since his unique venture in Udhayanidhi Stalin's Gethu. The rest of the cast includes Soori, Thambi Ramaiah, Namo Narayana and Ganja Karuppu in supporting roles. Directed by Samuthirakani, this social drama is bankrolled by Vasundhara Devi Cine Films and the plot is said to convey an important social message similar to the director’s previous movies.
