Dhanush’s directorial debut Power Paandi trending as #DD1 is progressing in the shooting at a brisk pace. Produced by the actor himself under his home banner Wunderbar Films, he recently took it to Twitter to announce its release date to be on April 14, 2017. This day marks the special occasion of Dhanush’s mother Vijayalakshmi’s birthday. Meanwhile the director and the actor’s brother Selvaraghavan also tweeted that he was impressed with Dhanush and Rajkiran’s work in the film after watching its first copy. Starring Rajkiran in the titular role, actor Prasanna plays his son with Chaya Singh pairing with him. The Kodi actor himself is making an extended cameo as the young Power Paandi along with Madonna Sebastian who will be featured as his lovelady. It was also officially confirmed that Gautham Menon and the television artist Divyadarshini is also making a special appearance. The other members of the cast includes yesteryear actress Nadhiya, Delhi Ganesh, Robo Shankar, Vidyullekha Raman among others. Sean Roldan who is roped in for VIP 2 is composing the tunes for this flick too.
