Finally the first look posters of Superstar’s 2.0 is here with our Thalaivar as powerful as he could be and the antagonist Akshay Kumar as a deadly villain. The first look launch took place in a grand manner as reported on November 20 with the team at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai. Karan Johar hosted the event in the presence of several cine celebrities like Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar, A.R.Rahman, Vijay Antony, Arya along with the crew. There was a big surprise for the team when Salman Khan graced the occasion uninvited. It is seen that Rajinikanth reprises Chitti role while Akshay will play Dr.Richard, a paranoid scientist and a ornithologist whose experiments were gone wrong and his looks are so frightening. Along with them, Bollywood actors Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu plays pivotal roles with the latter as Dr Bohra's son carried down from the first installment. As mentioned earlier, the event was broadcasted live in the YouTube channel of Lyca Productions. As for the shooting, nearly 95 % of the filming has been completed and is likely to be wrapped up by the end of this year. The film will have a major VFX work and will be released for Diwali 2017.
