The much awaited announcement on Vijay 61 has been finally unveiled on November 17. There were rumours earlier that it is going to be Atlee and the same has been officially confirmed. The two film old director is joining hands with Ilayathalapathy for the second time in a row after the blockbuster success of Theri. While it was Kalaipuli S.Thaanu who bankrolled Theri, it is going to be another big production house, Sri Thenandal Films who will be funding this venture. The makers also revealed that the script has been locked and finalised. Now the talks are onto who are members of the cast and crew. Nayanthara is likely to bag the female lead who will get to romance with Vijay second time after Villu. As for the technical crew, we hear that Oscar Award winning music composer A.R.Rahman has been approached. K.V.Vijayendra Prasad, father of the acclaimed director Rajamouli has penned this script along with Atlee. The shooting is planned to take place extensively at US as demanded by the story though it has not been confirmed yet.
