The sequel to the 2007 sports drama Chennai 28, Chennai 620028 II: Second Innings has completed the shooting in a hush manner and the post production works are running at a full swing. The film has been screened to the censor board and it has got a clean U certificate. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the whole team is excited on their venture clearing the censor clean. Bankrolled by Venkat Prabhu himself under the banner Black Ticket Company, the release date is announced to be November 25. It is likely to clash with Vishal's Kaththi Sandai at the box office. Meanwhile the music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja will be launched in the forthcoming week. In a recent interview, the director shared that their film is a perfect blending of cricket and friendship and they are confident of making the film successful. Featuring the same cast from the first part, Jai, Shiva, Premji, Aravind Akash, Vaibhav and Nithin Sathya play the leading roles while Vijayalakshmi comes back to cine industry post marriage as the female lead. Apart from them, actress Manisha Yadav will also be making a special appearance.
