Mani Ratnam's next romantic flick Kaatru Veliyidai is having developments day by day with the announcement of the release date as March, 2017 on November 11. Another interesting update we hear from the team is that they are planning to release the film in Telugu simultaneously by dubbing it. Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations who distributed the director’s OK Kanmani i.e. OK Bangaram has bought the Telugu distribution rights. The Karthi starrer has got the title ‘Duet’ for this Telugu version and the first look of the same has been released by Dil Raju himself. Touted to be an action romantic flick, it is an exploratory genre for the director since Roja in 1992. Karthi plays the pilot in the film while his pair Aditi Rao Hydari makes her Kollywood debut as a doctor. Nearly 60% of the filming has been completed and the makers have planned to finish the shooting by the end of December.
