GV Prakash Kumar’s upcoming release Kadavul Irukaan Kumaaru was slated to hit the screens on November 10 and was expected to rule the box office being the solo release. Unfortunately the unexpected announcement made by the Modi Government on banning the Rs.500 & 1000 notes had an indirect effect on screening movies in theatres. Nearly 150 theatres have been closed temporarily and in other cases the audiences had to buy the tickets only with the Rs.100 notes. Owing to the prevailing economic instability, the makers Amma Creations of KIK have decided to postpone the release for another week on November 17 to next Thursday. Also there was an interim stay against the release of the film conducted over the producers that they had to provide 82.38 Lakhs to the distributor Singaravadivelan from Senthilkumar of 7G Films. However the High Court vacated the stay to release the film by ordering the makers to provide 35 Lakhs within 4 weeks time period.
