The new trend among the yesteryear actors and directors in these years is acting in respectable father roles for heroes and heroines. The most sought out ones among them are Prabhu, Sathyaraj, director K.S.Ravikumar and a new one witnessed recently was Vivek in Kashmora. Now we see another new addition to the list as Parthiban who is known for acting only in lead or pivotal roles. He has signed a movie titled as ‘Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam’ which will be helmed by Thalapathy Prabhu, former associate of director Ponram. Bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, the lead actors in this film are Udhayanidhi Stalin and Nivetha Pethuraj. Parthiban plays the father for Nivetha as well as a political bigshot who will be pitted opposite the hero in protecting his daughter. It is the first time he will be seen in a full fledged antagonist role. When hearing a one-liner we can imagine how his characterisation could be in this film. Also it is going to be a meaty role for him in the story and hence he has agreed to take it. As for the technical crew, this romantic action has D.Imman to compose the tunes.
