Shanthanu Bhagyaraj's Vaaimai which released on September 8 had an average run and the actor is badly in need of a recognition in Kollywood. Looking at his performance in the film and his talent, the acclaimed director Parthiban has given him a chance to play the lead in his next directorial venture. Shanthanu's father and director Bhagyaraj has been a milestone in shaping the career for Parthiban in the yesteryear times. Now it is the time he gives back something for his friend’s son. Parthiban's last direction was Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam in 2014 which also did average business at the box office. The casting producers is underway for this new flick and the female lead is said to be Parvathy Nair. She was last seen in Ajith's Yennai Arinthaal and Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain. Further what we hear that she may not likely to pair with him but play a pivotal role in the film. Titled as Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga, Parthiban is also busy working in the Suseenthiran film named as Maaveeran Kittu in which he plays the male lead.
