It was one day ago the release date of Dhanush's upcoming film Thodari was announced. This Prabhu Solomon's directorial will be the first release for Dhanush in this year though he had completed the shooting for multiple projects. The next release in this year would be Kodi directed by Durai Senthilkumar. The makers are eyeing to release the film for this year Diwali on October 27. It is expected to clash at the box office with many other big releases like Vishal's Kaththi Sandai, Karthi's Kashmora and GV Prakash Kumar's Kadavul Irukaan Kumaaru. Singam 3 was scheduled to join the Diwali race but pushed to December release owing to the tight competition prevailing for the festival of lights. Kodi will have a separate set of audiences as it is a political thriller in which Dhanush will be canning dual roles as twin brothers for the first time in his career. The first look of it will be unveiled by the end of this month. Trisha and the Malayalam actress Anupama Parameshwaran will be seen as the loveladies for Dhanush. Trisha plays a role with negative shades while Anupama is making her Kollywood debut through this film.
