Dhanush and Amala Paul starrer Velai Illa Pattadhari which released in 2014 had a good run in terms of business as well as gave a popular name for Dhanush among the youngsters for its different screenplay and characterisation. The movie is on cards to be remade in Kannada and will be bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh under Rockline Productions who is known for producing Lingaa. As for the leading lady, Amala Paul who featured in the original film is in talks to reprise the same role played by her in the remake version too. To be directed by Nanda Kishore, she will be romancing with the actor Manoranjan. The team is convinced to have her itself in the role and haven't considered any other leading lady. Apart from this flick, Amala Paul is currently in talks for Vetrimaran's Vada Chennai to pair opposite Dhanush. Her comeback to Kollywood starting from the Jos Alukkas Ad to the acclaimed role in Amma Kanakku has turned good to restart her career on the professional front after her divorce with director A.L.Vijay.
