Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai is progressing in its shooting and the team has been at Binny Mills with a grand set erected for a while. The gangster trilogy has an ensemble cast of Dhanush, Amala Paul, Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Karunas, Pawan and Daniel Balaji. The latest addition to the cast is the filmmaker Subramaniam Siva in the role of a gangster. Andrea was reported to play a prostitute in the film and she will be paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi. She is likely to join the team for filming her part from September month. Her role is a noteworthy one and crucial to the plot. As for Vijay Sethupathi's role, it is an extended cameo of sorts. Produced by Dhanush under his home banner Wunderbar Films, Santhosh Narayanan will be scoring the tunes. The film will be released in three installments following the life of a gangster played by Dhanush through the period 1977-2007.
