Superstar starrer Kabali which released on July 22 has achieved new feats becoming the highest grossing Kollywood film in Tamil Nadu. The first three days saw a whooping collection of Rs.11 crores only from Chennai city. Though it had a slight setback by the end of first week due to mixed reviews, it slowly attracted audiences in the forthcoming days. As of today, it has grossed upto 76 crores that any Kollywood film could possibly collect. Who else can make it possible if it's not for Superstar !!! Earlier the achievement was made by Vijay’s Theri which was also produced by Kalaipuli S.Thanu. The SPI Cinemas who has bought the distribution rights for Kabali in Chennai had alone contributed 4 crores to the makers by running 1300 shows in their 5 multiplexes in Chennai. On the other hand, the numbers are also unimaginably high regarding the overseas collection as well.
