Venkat Prabhu's comedy thriller Saroja which had been a milestone in his career is in talks to be made as a sequel. But this time, the venture would be directed by Kantha Priyan, an associate of the director making his directorial debut. The story and screenplay would be written by Samaran. Few sources report that SJ Suryah has been approached to play the main lead. Along with him Premji Amaren and VTV Ganesh will also be seen in supporting roles. The official announcement is expected shortly and this combo is sure to deliver a high dose humour and will be successful. As for the technical crew, the director's choice Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the tunes and Praveen K.L. will edit the cuts. The female lead and the rest of the cast are to be roped in the meantime. The first installment released in 2008 had an ensemble cast of Shiva, Premji Amaren, SPB Charan, Vaibhav Reddy, Vega Tamotia, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Kajal Agarwal, Sampath Raj and Nikita Thukral. The director is presently busy with the post-production works of Chennai 28 sequel and Suryah is also busy filming the A.R.Murugadoss’s flick. They are likely to start this project in a couple of months after finishing their individual commitments from October month.
