Director Hari who is busy shooting S-3 with Suriya has announced officially that he will make the sequel to Saamy with Vikram as next venture. He had been one of the guests for Iru Mugan trailer and audio launch on August 2 and took it to the public himself. The first installment released in 2003 had been a blockbuster hit with Vikram, Trisha and many others. It was even remade in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi following its commercial success. This sequel is also expected to do the same effect to the tinsel town. Harris Jayaraj who scored tunes for the first part has been retained to compose the music. Priyan will be taking care of cinematography who had always been the director's choice and had been worked with him together for over 12 movies. Meanwhile the rest of the cast including the female lead has to be roped in. This project would be bankrolled by Shibu Thameens under Thameens Films who is also producing Vikram's about-to-release film Iru Mugan.
