The TV anchor turned actor Ma Ka Pa Anand has paired with the Kaaka Muttai actress Aishwarya Rajesh for a romantic film. Directed by debutant Suresh, it has been titled as Kadalai. The first look poster of the film has been unveiled on July 23rd with the official announcement of the team members. Later to that, its title has got into an issue as director Ananda Raj has already been working on a film 'Kadala Poda Oru Ponnu Venum' for the past three years. However the Tamil Nadu Producer’s Council has resolved the issue and the movie has retained its name. Earlier the film was titled as Deepavali Thuppaki but now renamed as Kadalai. The movie's plot revolves around farming and carries a social message. The director had also considered the name ‘Nel’ but finally decided not to keep a serious title and opted for Kadalai. Sam C.S. of Mellisai fame has scored the tunes and the supporting cast consists of Ponvannan, John Vijay and Yogi Babu. Produced by Dream Factory, the shooting is in the final stages it will open to screens in August month.
