Director Arun Vaidyanathan who earlier produced Kalyana Samayal Saadham for Prasanna has signed in the actor in his next venture. The movie titled as Nibunan will also have Action King Arjun sharing the screen space with him for the first time. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who gave a bold performance in her last outing Thaarai Thappattai will play the leading lady opposite Prasanna. In fact, we hear that Arjun has personally asked the director to make more impact scenes for Varalaxmi in the film after being impressed by her performance in the Bala directorial. The movie also has an ensemble cast of Vaibhav, the Lucia actress Sruthi Hariharan, Suman, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Madras fame Nandakumar and Uma Riyaz Khan in pivotal roles. Touted to be an action and detective crime thriller, the plot will run around how a police officer solves a series of crimes without compromising his family. Varalaxmi will play the cop for the first time and Sruthi Hariharan as Arjun’s wife. Arjun will also be featured as a stylish cop and the shooting was completed in a 40 days schedule at Chennai and Bangalore with only 3 days left. It is made as a bilingual in Tamil & Kannada and Prasanna makes his debut to Kannada cinema through this film. The team had unveiled the first look poster on July 11. The director also shares that the story doesn’t have a stereotypical female lead as such. Produced by Passion Film Factory, they are aiming to release the film in September.
