The Engeyum Eppothum pair Jai and Anjali are back for a horror thriller directed by debutant Sinish. The movie has been formally launched on July 6 with a pooja. Veteran stunt choreographer Super Subbarayan was present at the occasion to clap the first shot. This flick will be jointly bankrolled by 70 MM Films and Farmer's Master Plan Production.

After 5 years, the pair is coming together for a horror film and is much looked upon by Kollywood fans. The technical crew members are R.Saravanan for handling the camera, Ruben for editing, Dhilip Subbarayan as stuntman, Sherif of Theri fame to choreograph the dance sequences and Shakthi Venkataraj for art direction. 

Anjali will be playing an IT Professional and there is another female lead sharing her screen space. The other lady will be roped in shortly. Sinish also hinted that all the leading characters in the film will be playing ghost. The shooting will be done at Chennai extensively and other updates on the film can be expected in a week’s time. 


Jai is an Indian actor working in Tamil films. Nephew of music composer Deva, Jai had worked as a keyboardist in films and had made his acting debut in a supporting role in Bagavathi (2002). In 2007, he successfully auditioned for a leading role in Venkat Prabhu's sports film Chennai 600028. The film emerged as a cult classic, as did his next role of an unemployed 1980s Madurai lad in Sasikumar's Subramaniapuram (2008).

Jai subsequently garnered praise for diverse roles, including a villager on holiday in Goa (2010), a timid working factory worker in Engaeyum Eppothum (2011) and a customer care executive in the romantic drama Raja Rani (2013), which became his biggest commercial success.
