Sanjay Leela Bhansali who successfully collaborated with Deepika Padukone for Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani is in talks again with the lady for casting her in his upcoming. Titled as Padmavati, it is a period drama like his previous film and the actress will have a titular role to play. He has planned to begin the shooting from September month and official word on full cast details will be arrived shortly. The movie is inspired from the true life of the oppressive ruler Alauddin Khilji's obsession for Rani Padmavati. The story will most likely be similar to Bajirao Mastani and implying the same, Ranveer Singh is reported to play the male lead as Alauddin Khilji. If Deepika takes up the project, it would be the third time for them to pair up. But the problem prevailing with the team is that Deepika is not in a position to confirm her presence on board. Both the producer and the lady are unavailable for comments in this matter. But she hinted few words during an interview at the IIFA Awards that she will begin shooting for a Bollywood film from September and that she can't reveal which one it is. For now, she has just returned India after finishing the shooting for her Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
